Facilities - Department Of Electrical & Electronics Engineering
The Department of EEE has come into existence in the Year 2002 with an in take of 60 Students. The Department has excellent infrastructure facilities to train the students in various fields of Electrical Engineering. The laboratories are equipped to meet the requirements of both Anna University of Technology and A I C T E. The Department has qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty. Continuous efforts are made to modernize the laboratories to keep pace with emerging advances in the field of Electrical Engineering.
Laboratory Facilities:
Electric Circuits Laboratory
The Electric Circuits Laboratory is well equipped with the equipments like digital function Generator, LCR Meter, etc. This Laboratory helps the students to understand the Electric Circuits clearly.
Engineering Practice Laboratory
Engineering practice Lab in the department is equipped with latest Electrical equipments & accessories.
Electrical Machines Laboratory
Electrical Machines Lab is equipped with DC / AC motors, generators, Transformers and necessary measuring equipments.
Power Electronics Laboratory
The power electronics lab consists of different kinds of demo kits starting from SCR characteristics, study kit for D.C motor control using chopper. The lab is equipped with Digital Integrated kits, Power supplies etc.
Control Systems Laboratory
The laboratory established with Control systems instruments like Tachometer, Stepper Motor control, AC and DC position control which provides in-depth training to the students.
Simulation Laboratory
The power system laboratory contains high end computers and latest software like MATLAB, EMTP, PSCAD, SCILAB, PSIM etc.
